Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Laker Lakers (Pigeon, MI), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tars (20-22) will now prepare for their challenge against Port Huron Northern (Port Huron, MI). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 32-9 record. In their last challenge, Port Huron Northern beat Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI), 2-0, in a non-league game.

The Lakers (20-18) will now prepare for their game against Frankenmuth (Frankenmuth, MI). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 12-17 record. In their last game, Frankenmuth went down by Lowell (Lowell, MI), 2-1, in a non-league game.
