Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs (25-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 14-13 record. In their last challenge, Hanson Memorial lost by A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now sport a 15-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brusly for a non-league test on Saturday, November 1. St. John will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 18-10.
