Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) and the visiting Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA), observed St. John's volleyball team hold off Ascension Christian by a count of 2-1.
The Eagles (15-18) will now prepare for their contest against Ascension Catholic (Donaldsonville, LA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 22-12 record.
The now own a 18-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brusly for a non-league battle on Saturday, November 1. Ascension Christian will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 18-10.
