Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Midland Rebels (Midland, LA) and the visiting Pitkin Tigers (Pitkin, LA), saw Midland's basketball squad hold off Pitkin by a count of 71-68.

With the victory, Midland upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Bell City (Bell City, LA) to play the Bruins in a B District 6 challenge on Thursday, November 16. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Tigers play the Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, November 11. Pitkin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 56-53 non-league win over Fairview (Grant, LA).
