The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) and the visiting Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV), observed Independence's football squad defeat Bluefield by a count of 20-12.
The Patriots now own a 10-0 record. They play next when they travel to Fairmont Senior for a non-league contest on Friday, November 18. Independence will play a Polar Bears squad coming off a 42-20 non-league win over Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Polar Bears record now stands at 8-3.
