In Friday's non-league game, the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) football team knocked off the host Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), by a score of 38-8.
The Trojans (8-2) will now prepare for their game against Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME). The Vikings come into the non-league game with a 10-0 record. In their last game, Oxford Hills toppled Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME), 36-0, in a non-league game.
The Spartans now sport a 6-5 record.
