Alpena Leopards (Alpena, AR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Yellville-Summit Panthers (Yellville, AR), 61-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alpena upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Timbo (Timbo, AR) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-9. Timbo lost 58-29 in their recent league bout against Concord (Concord, AR)

Next up, the Panthers play the West Fork Tigers (West Fork, AR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Yellville-Summit will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
