Lamar Christian Lions (Purvis, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Columbia Academy Cougars (Columbia, MS), 42-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lamar Christian upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Richton (Richton, MS) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 14. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Richton won 47-31 in their recent non-league bout against Mount Olive (Mount Olive, MS)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 14. Columbia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
