South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 14. South Pontotoc will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Ripley (Ripley, MS).

The Troopers now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Itawamba Agricultural for a 4A Region 2 challenge on Monday, November 13. Mooreville will confront a Indians team coming off a 1-1 non-league Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Indians record now stands at 0-0.
