South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Braves face the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 16. South Jones will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS).
The Warriors now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Sumrall for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 14. Oak Grove will face a Bobcats team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-3.
