Western Yell County Wolverines (Havana, AR) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Oark Hornets (Oark, AR), 61-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Western Yell County upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Perryville (Perryville, AR) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 16. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Perryville won 65-41 in their recent non-league bout against Danville (Danville, AR)

Next up, the Hornets play the Kingston Yellowjackets (Kingston, AR) in a 1A Region 1 East bout, on Monday, November 27. Oark will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 47-37 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, AR).
