The Calvary Christian Cougar (King, NC) basketball toppled the host Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks (Monroe, NC), 74-57 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Cougar now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Woodland Baptist Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, November 14. Calvary Christian will play a Eagles team coming off a 43-42 non-league loss to Surry HomeSchool (Mount Airy, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
The Sharks (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Rockwell Christian School (Rockwell, NC). The Chargers come into the NCCSA A West Region 2 test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Rockwell Christian School went down by Woodland Baptist Christian (Winston-Salem, NC), 53-28, in a non-league test.
