In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Copiah Academy Colonels basketball team scored a big 76-34 win over the East Rankin Academy Patriots.
The Colonels (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS). The Cougars enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Simpson Academy overwhelmed Clinton Christian Academy (Clinton, MS), 71-31, in a non-league match.
The Patriots now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host St. Joseph Catholic for a non-league contest on Monday, November 17.
