The Brownstown Bombers basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Cumberland Pirates to 35 in the Bombers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Bombers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Litchfield for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 17. Brownstown will battle a Purple Panthers team coming off a 51-19 non-league loss to Nokomis (Nokomis, IL). The Purple Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

The Pirates (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Edwards County (Albion, IL). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Edwards County nudged Wayne City (Wayne City, IL), 48-34, in a non-league contest.
