Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tellico Plains Bears (Tellico Plains, TN), 71-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rhea County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Boyd Christian (McMinnville, TN) to play the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 14. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Boyd Christian lost 92-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Grundy County (Coalmont, TN)

Next up, the Bears play the Oliver Springs Bobcats (Oliver Springs, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 16. Tellico Plains will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 60-50 non-league loss to Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN).
