The Loyd Star Hornets basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host Enterprise Yellowjackets to 27 in the Hornets non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wesson for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 16. Loyd Star will battle a Cobras team coming off a 47-45 non-league win over West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS). The Cobras record now stands at 2-1.

The Yellowjackets (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against McLaurin (Florence, MS). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, McLaurin was defeated by Puckett (Puckett, MS), 41-26, in a non-league contest.
