Hattiesburg Tigers (Hattiesburg, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Petal Panthers (Petal, MS), 43-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hattiesburg upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 16. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Northeast Jones won 63-35 in their recent non-league bout against Purvis (Purvis, MS)

Next up, the Panthers play the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Petal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 51-36 non-league loss to Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS).
