The Mantachie Mustangs basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Mooreville Troopers to 23 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Myrtle for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 16. Mantachie will battle a Hawks team coming off a 61-16 non-league loss to Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 1-3.
The Troopers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Ingomar triumphed over Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS), 56-48, in a non-league contest.
