Texas High School Basketball - Americas bested by Permian

Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) supporters went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX), 47-28 in a non-league contest.

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Trinity Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Trinity Christian topped Brownfield (Brownfield, TX), 78-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Trail Blazers battle the Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX) in a non-league match, on Monday, November 17. Americas will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 69-37 non-league win over Parkland (El Paso, TX).
