Mississippi High School Basketball - Wilkinson County can't hold off Salem

Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS) supporters went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Wilkinson County Wildcats (Woodville, MS), 55-49 in a non-league contest.

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Perry Central (New Augusta, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Perry Central was tipped by Greene County (Leakesville, MS), 71-31, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Wildcats face the Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, November 18. Wilkinson County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Blue Waves enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 69-53 non-league win over South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS).
