The Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX) basketball were winner over the host Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX), 41-33 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Toros now hold a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph Academy for a non-league test on Friday, November 14. Cigarroa will encounter a Bloodhounds squad coming off a 51-35 non-league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Bloodhounds record now stands at 1-2.

The Lobos (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Sabercats come into the non-league test with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Vela knocked off Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX), 48-47, in a non-league battle.
