Weatherford Kangaroos (Weatherford, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Weatherford upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Kangaroos travel to Aledo (Aledo, TX) to clash with the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Friday, November 18. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Aledo lost 55-54 in their recent non-league bout against Crandall (Crandall, TX)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 17. Azle will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 61-45 non-league win over Frisco (Frisco, TX).
