The Phillips Bears basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Cherokee Indians to 43 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Phil Campbell for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 17. Phillips will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 79-50 non-league win over Hubbertville (Fayette, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-0.

The Indians (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Belgreen (Russellville, AL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record.
