In Tuesday's non-league outing, the North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS) basketball squad edged the host Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS), by a count of 53-49.

The Jaguars (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Hornets come into the non-league bout with a 2-4 record.

Next up, the Hornets play the Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 17. Loyd Star will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 50-43 non-league win over Tylertown (Tylertown, MS).
