Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), 66-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Apalachee upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA) to confront the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 16. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Lions confront the Forsyth Central Bulldogs (Cumming, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, November 18. Franklin County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 73-63 non-league loss to North Hall (Gainesville, GA).
