In Saturday's league challenge, the host Deering Northern Lights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the McQueen Qavviks.
The Northern Lights (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Davis-Romoth (Selawik, AK). The Wolves come into the Mix 6 Northwest challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Davis-Romoth gained a win over Kiana (Kiana, AK), 2-0, in a league test.
The Qavviks now sport a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Aqqaluk for a Mix 6 Northwest outing on Saturday, November 15. McQueen will play a Bears team coming off a 2-1 league loss to McQueen (Kivalina, AK). The Bears record now stands at 7-8.
