Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), 65-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brantley County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Herons travel to Bacon County (Alma, GA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Bacon County won 64-45 in their recent non-league bout against Berrien (Nashville, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Randolph-Clay Red Devils (Cuthbert, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Atkinson County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
