The Lamar Vikings basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Midlothian Panthers to 45 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seguin for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 16. Lamar will battle a Cougars team coming off a 65-63 non-league win over Lincoln (Dallas, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.

The Panthers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lamar (Arlington, TX). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Lamar was nudged by Fort Worth Christian (North Richland Hills, TX), 50-38, in a non-league contest.
