Alabama High School Basketball - Murphy nips Rain

November 16, 2023: Mobile, AL 36605

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL) and the host Rain Red Raiders (Mobile, AL), saw Murphy's basketball squad hold off Rain by a count of 49-43.

With the victory, Murphy upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a non-league test on Friday, November 17. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a record of 2-1. McGill-Toolen won 61-45 in their recent non-league test against St. Paul's Episcopal (Mobile, AL)

The Red Raiders now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Blount for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 28. Rain will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 73-57 non-league loss to Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL). The Leopards record now stands at 2-2.
