Dardanelle Sand Lizards (Dardanelle, AR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dardanelle upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Sand Lizards travel to Robinson (Little Rock, AR) to play the Senators in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The Senators come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Robinson lost 52-36 in their recent non-league bout against Sylvan Hills (Sherwood, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Rose Bud Ramblers (Rose Bud, AR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Quitman will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Ramblers come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 61-32 non-league loss to Melbourne (Melbourne, AR).
