Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL) and the visiting Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL), saw Leyden's basketball squad hold off Elmwood Park by a tally of 28-24.
With the victory, Leyden improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Proviso East (Maywood, IL) to confront the Pirates in a challenge on Tuesday, November 28. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, November 18. Elmwood Park will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
