In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Columbia Eagles basketball team scored a close 56-53 win over the Skyline Vikings.
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Buckhorn (New Market, AL). The Bucks come into the 6A Area 16 contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Buckhorn edged Sparkman (Harvest, AL), 52-44, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Oakwood Academy Mustangs (Huntsville, AL) in a 1A Area 16 contest, on Tuesday, November 19. Skyline will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 70-45 non-league loss to Grissom (Huntsville, AL).
