The Clinton Christian Academy Warriors basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Simpson Academy Cougars to 39 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillcrest Christian for a contest on Friday, December 16.

The Cougars (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pillow Academy (Greenwood, MS). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Pillow Academy was defeated by Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS), 51-27, in a non-league contest.
