North Carolina High School Basketball - Southwestern Randolph overwhelmed by Asheboro

The Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars to 43 in the Blue Comets non-league victory on Friday.

The Blue Comets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence Grove for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21. Asheboro will battle a Patriots team coming off a 48-46 non-league win over Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Stanly (New London, NC). The Comets come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
