Alabama High School Basketball - East Limestone knocked off by Athens

The Athens Golden Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting East Limestone Indians to 57 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McAdory for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 18. Athens will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 45-41 non-league loss to Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-2.
The Indians (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, St. John Paul II ran past Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (Decatur, AL), 63-45, in a non-league contest.
