Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 22-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cuthbertson upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cavaliers host Independence (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Independence won 20-13 in their recent non-league bout against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Union Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
