John Adams Academy Patriots (El Dorado Hills, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA), 27-24 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, John Adams Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots host Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Mavericks play the Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Mesa Verde will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
