In Friday's non-league challenge, the Tri-Valley Warriors (Healy, AK) ice hockey team nudged the host Kodiak Bears (Kodiak, AK), by a margin of 3-2.
The Warriors now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Homer for a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 18. Tri-Valley will clash with a Mariners team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Palmer (Palmer, AK). The Mariners record now stands at 1-2.
The Bears (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK). The Kardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Kenai Central was edged by Colony (Palmer, AK), 5-0, in a non-league challenge.
