The Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars to 35 in the Blue Comets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Comets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence Grove for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Stanly (New London, NC). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.
