South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), 40-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Lenoir upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Richlands lost 41-29 in their recent non-league bout against Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Croatan will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
