In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Aqqaluk Bears volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Deering Northern Lights.
The Bears (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Napaaqtugmiut (Noatak, AK). The Lynx come into the non-league battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Napaaqtugmiut Buckland (Buckland, AK), 2-2, in a league battle.
