The Alcoa Tornadoes basketball team scored 73 points and limited the host Austin-East Roadrunners to 54 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tornadoes now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Morristown-Hamblen East for a non-league outing on Tuesday, November 18.
The Roadrunners (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Heritage (Maryville, TN). The Mountaineers enter the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Heritage ran past Halls (Knoxville, TN), 63-50, in a non-league outing.
