The Shepard Astros basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals to 37 in the Astros non-league triumph on Monday.
The Astros now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hillcrest for a non-league game on Wednesday, November 19. Shepard will confront a Hawks team coming off a 64-29 non-league loss to Marist (Chicago, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.
