Phillips Bears (Bear Creek, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL), 68-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Phillips upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Bears host Brilliant (Brilliant, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Phil Campbell Bobcats (Phil Campbell, AL) in a 3A Area 15 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Colbert Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
