In Friday's non-league outing, the Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Westover Patriots (Albany, GA), by a margin of 49-44.

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Leesburg (Leesburg, FL). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league outing with a 0-0 record.

The Patriots now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Colquitt County for a non-league outing on Saturday, November 19.
