The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting McDowell Titans to 11 in the Mountaineers non-league victory on Friday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Erwin for a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. Tuscola will play a Warriors squad coming off a 50-18 non-league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
Next up, the Titans play the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 30. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
