The Ashford Yellowjackets basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Houston County Lions to 35 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Geneva County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 29.

The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Slocomb (Slocomb, AL). The Red Tops enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Slocomb ran past Geneva County (Hartford, AL), 30-29, in a non-league contest.
