Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 50-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cardinal Gibbons upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Hillside (Durham, NC) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Comets play the Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Clayton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 57-52 non-league loss to Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC).
