The Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) basketball nipped the visiting South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), 51-48 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Ocracoke (Ocracoke, NC). The Dolphins go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
The Blue Devils now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Richlands for a non-league test on Monday, November 21.
