The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX), 75-73 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Longhorns (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Magnolia West was tipped by Kingwood (Kingwood, TX), 47-31, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Hardin-Jefferson for a non-league test on Monday, November 20. Vidor will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 51-40 non-league loss to Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 1-2.
